Terms and Conditions for the 2020 Alice Springs Online Show:

These terms and conditions apply to all 6 categories of competition.

  • Age limits are to be strictly followed.
  • Entries are limited to 2 per person per category.
  • Entries open the 20th of May, 2020.
  • Entries close on the 26th of June, 2020 at midnight.
  • Entries will be accepted online only.
  • No late entries will be accepted.
  • The work must be produced by the person whose name is on the entry form. Disqualification will occur if it is produced by someone else.
  • The winner of each class will be contacted on the 3rd of July, via email. A Facebook post will also be published with the winner of each classes name and photo of their exhibit.
  • First prize in each category is a 1-day entry ticket to the 2021 Alice Springs Show. Winners will receive a certificate by email to be redeemed for a 1-day ticket in 2021. The certificate must be redeemed at the CASS office ahead of the 2021 Show. Certificates will NOT be accepted at the gates. Winners will receive an age-appropriate ticket, junior winners will receive a child ticket and the winner of the Open or Beginner Photography & Hobbies competitions may receive an adult 1-day ticket.
  • Second prize in each category is a $10 voucher for the Yeperenye Shopping Centre.
  • Third place will receive a certificate via email.
  • Prizes are not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
  • The competition is free to enter.
  • CASS reserves the right to disqualify anyone or anything at any point throughout the period of the competition.
  • A professional judge will make the winning decision. All decisions are final.
  • CASS reserves the right to use your entry photograph for marketing and social media purposes.
  • Only one photo of the exhibit is to be submitted for judging unless it is stated otherwise (exception is Lego - 2 photos to be submitted). If more than one photo is supplied, when only one is meant to be, CASS reserves the right to choose which photo will be viewed by the judge for judging.

  • Breach of the Terms and Conditions will automatically result in disqualification.

Photography Rules and Regulations:

  • Persons who have not previously won a prize (1st, 2nd or 3rd) at a CASS Show or any other Show and/or Exhibition are classed as Beginners.
  • No more than 2 entries per person per category.
  • Any photograph considered by the steward to be unsuitable for display will be disqualified.

Cupcake Decorating Rules and Regulations:

  • No more than 2 entries per person.
  • Decorations must be edible.
  • Must supply a photo of three decorated cupcakes to be judged.
  • Cupcakes may be decorated to any theme.
  • Must be the work of the person entered into the class.

Hobbies Rules and Regulations:

  • All exhibits previously entered in a CASS Show are not eligible unless its composition has undertaken a minimum 50% change.
  • Exhibitors may enter 2 Lego exhibits.
  • Exhibitors may enter 2 Pet Rock exhibits.
  • No Lego kits can be submitted without a minimum of 50% modification. Multiple kits can be amalgamated.
  • Lego can be any size.
  • Two photos of the Lego exhibit are to be submitted for judging.
  • One photo of the Pet Rock exhibit is to be submitted for judging.

Art Rules and Regulations:

  • Entries are limited to 2 per person.
  • All exhibits previously entered in a CASS Show are not eligible for entry.
  • Drawing is to be in the theme of “Showtime!”
  • Drawing can only consist of pencils, crayons, highlighters, and pens. A painting will not be accepted.
  • One photo of the exhibit is to be submitted for judging.

Agriculture Rules and Regulations:

  • Entries are limited to 2 per person.
  • Produce must be home grown.
  • One photo of the exhibit is to be submitted for judging.

Horticulture Rules and Regulations:

  • Entries are limited to 2 per person.
  • Majority of the creation must be made from fruit and/or vegetables.
  • One photo of the exhibit is to be submitted for judging.

Equestrian Rules and Regulations:

  • Entries are limited to 2 per person.
  • Horse and rider must be visible in one image.
  • One photo of the exhibit is to be submitted for judging.
