Show History

The Central Australian Show Society has organised the Alice Springs Show since the first show in 1960. The original committee consisted of some very notable names from Alice Springs. The very first Alice Springs show was held at Anzac Oval (called at the time “The Alice Springs Oval”) in the city centre.

The 1960 Show was held in a different month to today, it was on Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th of April from 10am to 10pm both days.
