Come cattle people big and small! Show off your best beasts. The cattle section includes led, unled, carcass and children’s classes.

Prized pooches walk this way! Three events to show off your clever canine and perhaps win prizes – the all breeds championship show, agility & jumping trial and the obedience trial.

Dressage, western, show jumping, led classes, rider/hack classes, harness classes and novelties make up the variety of equine events at the Alice Springs Show. Enter and put your best hoof forward.

Do you have the cutest dog in the street, the best fish in the pond or are rapt about your reptiles? Why not enter them in the pets & animal nursery section and show everyone how much you love them!

Far from paltry the Alice Springs Show poultry section is a vibrant display of the best of domestic fowl. Aviculture (caged birds) is also included under this section now, meaning there is something for every bird lover in this section. Classes include different breeds of chickens, ducks and turkeys, Budgerigars, Canaries, Parrots, Finches, Lovebirds, Doves and Pigeons. There is something for every bird lover in this section. Visit the poultry and caged bird exhibits at the show and be captivated by the polyphony of birdsong!

Traditional stockmen events including Maiden Draft, Team Penning and Stockman’s Challenge will be on once again at the 2012 Show. The principal event will be the Bill Hayes Memorial Bronco Branding in remembrance of this great Central Australian’s contributions to the Show and the Cattle Industry.
