Make the Alice Springs Show your reason for an extended visit to Central Australia and take in all the region has to offer.
A traditional Australian Agricultural Show, the event takes place during the mild Central Australian winter with average daily temperatures of 20 degrees Celsius and a low chance of rain. The next show is on July 6th and 7th. It is a great time to visit. For the months of June, July and August, Alice Springs really comes alive with a host of major events. There is the Finke Desert Race, Beanie Festival, Camel Cup and Henley on Todd Regatta and of course the Show, smack bang in the middle of it all!
The show is located at Blatherskite Park, south of the main township of Alice Springs through “The Gap’ (you’ll know what this means when you see it). Public buses run from several locations in town to the showground throughout the two days and parking is available at the site.
The Alice Springs Town Council and Tourism Central Australia websites are good sources of information when planning your visit to Central Australia for the Alice Springs Show.
