Thea Dunkley, 2010 Alice Springs Show Girl

Congratulations to Thea Dunkley, she took out the Alice Springs 51st show girl award.

Bio

Thea (who also has a twin brother) was born in Alice Springs in 1980 to John and Marida Dunkley. She is one of four siblings, all of whom were born in Alice Springs. She attended Bradshaw pre-school and primary school then moved to Living Waters Primary School when the school first opened.Thea went on to complete one year at St Phillips College before leaving for boarding school first in Queensland and then in South Australia. Whilst at her Adelaide boarding school, Thea did a one-year school exchange to Japan, attending a school there, learning fluent Japanese. After graduating school she attended Flinders University and completed her Bachelor of Behavioural Science. After spending a short time in Darwin, 5 years ago Thea returned to Alice Springs and now works at Central Australia Aboriginal Congress as a family and children’s caseworker. Thea has continued her professional development and recently completed her Grad. Certificate in Remote Health Management. Thea is a keen A-Grade netballer for Giants Netball Club and also enjoys going out bush, camping, eating out with friends and spending time with her family.

 

2009 Show Girl

Angel Akarana took out the Alice Springs 50th show girl award at last year’s show. Lisa Hatzimihail was runner up 2009 Alice Springs Show Girl.
